Release of Liability

By signing up for a subscription and/or participating in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) program offered by the SSP Wellness Center, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Full Responsibility for Participation
You understand that the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and any advice provided by the SSP Wellness Center are intended to support well-being but are not substitutes for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Participation in the SSP or following any advice from the Company is voluntary and at your own risk. You take full responsibility for your or your child’s participation in the SSP and any resulting outcomes.
You confirm that neither you nor your child (if applicable) has any contraindications for listening to the SSP, including but not limited to:
- Seizure disorders without medical clearance.
- Perforated or ruptured eardrums.
- Recent stapedectomy or tympanostomy tubes.
- Severe tinnitus without medical clearance.
- Severe misophonia or hyperacusis.
- Autoimmune, neurological, or chronic medical conditions requiring further medical evaluation.
- Mental health conditions such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, or dissociative disorders without medical clearance.
- Intentional self-harm or suicidal thoughts without professional oversight.
You further confirm that you or your child have consulted with a licensed medical professional and have been medically cleared to participate in the SSP.
2. Waiver of Liability
By participating in the SSP program, you voluntarily waive, release, and forever discharge the SSP Wellness Center, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability arising from or related to:
- Any injuries, physical or psychological, sustained as a result of participating in the SSP or following advice provided by the Company.
- Any damages or negative effects resulting from participating in the SSP, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
You agree that the SSP Wellness Center is not responsible for any medical, mental, emotional, or physical consequences that arise from your participation in the SSP or related services.
3. No Legal Recourse
You agree that you will not bring any legal action or claims for damages against the SSP Wellness Center, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, or agents related to your participation in the SSP program. This includes claims based on negligence, breach of contract, or breach of warranty.
4. Understanding of Risk
You understand that the SSP may cause temporary physical or emotional reactions. These reactions are a normal part of the therapeutic process, and you take full responsibility for adjusting the pacing of the program as needed, with the help of a certified SSP provider if necessary. You accept any risks associated with participating in the SSP program, including but not limited to:
- Temporary discomfort, emotional reactions, or physical sensations that may arise.
- The need to adjust the pace or discontinue the SSP if reactions become unmanageable.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the SSP Wellness Center, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, liabilities, or actions arising from your participation in the SSP program or following any advice from the Company. This includes any costs, including legal fees, incurred by [Your Company Name] in defending such claims.
6. Governing Law
This Waiver and Release of Liability is governed by the laws of the state of Michigan, and any legal actions will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Kent County, Michigan, USA.
7. Agreement to Terms
By signing up for a subscription and participating in the SSP program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Waiver and Release of Liability. You confirm that you are legally competent to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or your child.
