Welcome to SSP Wellness Center. By accessing our website, services, or content, you agree to the following Terms of Use. These terms apply to all services provided by SSP Wellness Center, including but not limited to the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Somatic Coaching, holistic therapies, yoga, nutrition coaching, online courses, and group programs. Please read them carefully.
1. Privacy
Your use of this site and services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, store, and use your personal information. By using this website, you consent to those practices.
2. Medical Disclaimer and Emergency Protocol
Our services are not medical treatment and are not suitable for individuals experiencing emergencies or crises. If you are in crisis, have suicidal thoughts, or are experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, seizures, loss of consciousness, or other urgent medical issues, contact emergency services immediately.
SSP Wellness Center does not offer medical advice or emergency care. We recommend consulting your licensed healthcare provider before engaging in any of our services.
3. No Professional-Client Relationship
Participation in our services, including coaching and SSP, does not establish a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or professional-client relationship. Communications with our team via email, text, phone, or video do not create any formal therapeutic or medical relationship.
4. Services Provided
We offer the following services:
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
Somatic Coaching
Discovery calls
1:1 sessions
Group calls
Online courses
Yoga and holistic therapy
Nutrition and health coaching
Service descriptions, pricing, and availability may change at our discretion. 5. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older, or of legal age in your jurisdiction, to participate in one-on-one services, subscriptions, or courses. If you are underage, parental or guardian consent is required.
6. Intake and Booking Process
You must complete all intake steps before services begin. For subscriptions, you must:
Complete the intake and consent forms
Agree to our cancellation and safety policies
Schedule any required onboarding calls via Calendly
All bookings and payments are processed through Stripe and Calendly.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
For 1:1 sessions, you must provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, unless a Practitioner-Specific Addendum sets a different notice period for that practitioner's clients. Late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the session or any fee paid for it.
For SSP subscriptions, you must cancel at least 10 days before your next billing date.
Group programs or courses that are date-based must be completed within the allotted timeframe. Missed sessions may not be rescheduled.
8. Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for SSP subscriptions, coaching packages, setup fees, or courses. All sales are final.
In rare cases, we may offer a discretionary refund or partial credit for non-SSP services, depending on the situation. Contact us to discuss.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under the consumer laws of your country or jurisdiction. Where such rights apply, they take precedence over this policy.
9. Client Responsibility and Medical Clearance
You agree to:
Take full responsibility for your health and outcomes
Seek medical clearance before starting physical programs (e.g., yoga)
Use all advice and recommendations at your own discretion
Inform us of any mental health, physical, or medical conditions that may affect your participation
Read our list of contraindicated conditions (https://sspwellnesscenter.org/contraindications-for-ssp-what-you-need-to-know/), inform us prior to beginning any of our programs if any of these apply to you or your child, and advise us if you or your child are diagnosed with or suspect any of these conditions at any time while working with us
10. Informed Consent and Safety
SSP and Somatic Coaching may trigger strong emotions or discomfort. By participating, you accept this possibility and agree to use discretion.
You agree not to start SSP audio sessions until after your onboarding call and only follow the pacing instructions provided. Listening prematurely may result in suspension or termination of your subscription with no refund.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, videos, worksheets, forms, and recordings provided by SSP Wellness Center are our intellectual property.
You are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive license for personal use only. You may not share, sell, reproduce, or distribute our materials without express permission.
12. Program Participation Guidelines
Group calls and programs including the SSP are for educational support only. They are not a substitute for therapy or medical advice.
By participating, you agree:
Not to share private content from group calls outside the program
That any contributions may be anonymized and used in future materials
To be respectful of others' confidentiality
Not to record or share content unless explicitly permitted
You are 18 years of age or older, or of legal age in your own jurisdiction and fully competent to enter into contractual agreements, or a parent or legal guardian is agreeing to these terms on behalf of a minor participant in accordance with Section 5.
We are not acting as mental health counselors, therapists, or other medical professionals.
Any coaching, content, advice, or programs provided, including the SSP, are not offered as substitutes for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health or medical conditions.
13. Testimonials and Reviews
Client testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not a guarantee of results. We may feature these testimonials on our website, emails, or marketing materials.
14. Affiliate Links and Promotions
We may include affiliate links in our content. We may receive a commission if you purchase through these links, at no additional cost to you. These relationships will be disclosed as required.
15. Communications
By using our services, you agree to receive electronic communications from us. These communications do not establish a professional-client relationship.
16. Technology and Third-Party Platforms
We use third-party platforms (e.g., Zoom, Calendly, Stripe) for service delivery and payment. You agree to their terms and hold us harmless for any disruptions, errors, or data issues they may cause.
17. Risk Waiver
You understand and accept the risks involved in participating in SSP, coaching, yoga, or other wellness services, including physical injury or emotional discomfort.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you waive all claims against SSP Wellness Center and its team members for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred through your participation. Nothing in this waiver removes any rights that cannot be waived under the laws of your jurisdiction.
18. No Guarantees
We make no guarantees about outcomes from participating in our services. Individual results vary.
19. Disclaimers
All content on this site and in our services is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SSP Wellness Center and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from use of our services or website. This limitation does not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of your jurisdiction.
21. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify SSP Wellness Center against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these terms. Further, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to waive all claims of liability alleging injury to your person or property connected with your participation in the work, coaching, courses, programs, subscriptions, and content offered by SSP Wellness Center or its partners or affiliates.
22. Termination of Access
We reserve the right to terminate your access to our website or services at our discretion for violations of these Terms.
23. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use, along with our Privacy Policy, any applicable Practitioner-Specific Addendum, and any signed consent forms, constitute the full agreement between you and SSP Wellness Center.
24. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Except where a Practitioner-Specific Addendum provides otherwise for that practitioner's clients (see Section 25 and the Addenda below), these Terms are governed by the laws of Michigan, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Michigan law. Class actions are not permitted.
25. Practitioner-Specific Addenda
Some of our practitioners operate their own practices and carry their own professional insurance. Where this is the case, additional or modified terms may apply to that practitioner's clients. These are set out in the Practitioner-Specific Addenda at the end of these Terms.
Each addendum applies only to clients who engage that named practitioner. Where an addendum conflicts with the general Terms above, the addendum controls for that practitioner's clients only. All other Terms continue to apply.
26. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms of Use, please contact us at: support@sspwellnesscenter.org
Practitioner-Specific Addenda
The following addenda apply only to clients of the specific practitioners named below. Each addendum forms part of these Terms of Use for those clients. Where an addendum conflicts with the general Terms, the addendum controls for that practitioner's clients only. Additional addenda may be added here as further practitioners join.
Addendum A: Elena Rae Wellness (New Zealand)
This addendum applies only to clients who engage Elena Rae Sawyer, operating as Elena Rae Wellness, for somatic coaching or provision of the Safe and Sound Protocol. It does not apply to any other SSP Wellness Center client.
Practitioner: Elena Rae Sawyer
Practice: Elena Rae Wellness
Address: 18 Royston Street, Dunedin 9010, New Zealand
Email: elenaraesawyer@gmail.com
By submitting Elena Rae Wellness intake or consent forms and engaging her for SSP or coaching, you agree to the following:
This consultation is intended to provide guidance and support. It does not replace the need for medical, psychiatric, or other professional services where appropriate. We do not provide formal medical advice, and you agree to take full responsibility for seeking additional care from licensed professionals when necessary.
Somatic coaching is a complementary therapy that works alongside any other necessary medical treatment. You take full responsibility for your own health and well-being, and you request to receive coaching in order to support and assist you in that process.
This form does not constitute a contractual agreement for ongoing services.
Cancellation and rescheduling: please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or change an appointment. In the case of late cancellation, a fee may apply. For clients of Elena Rae Wellness, this 24 hour notice period replaces the 48 hour period in Section 7.
Elena Rae Wellness adheres to the New Zealand Health and Disability Commissioner (Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights) Act.
Governing law for these clients: these terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes arising from or related to them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand. This replaces the Michigan governing law and arbitration provisions in Section 24 for clients of Elena Rae Wellness only.
