Why an SSP Subscription?
We've designed a supportive Safe and Sound Protocol subscription centered around three core principles—Going Slowly (Micro-Dosing), Remote Delivery, and Affordability—so you can heal independently without breaking the bank.
Going Slowly
Many people who go through the SSP too quickly complain that they didn't get the benefits they were hoping for, or that the benefits wore off over time.
We've discovered that microdosing SSP—moving through the program very slowly (sometimes just seconds at a time)—delivers much more profound and lasting benefits.
Our rolling subscription lets you go as slowly as you need to, for as many rounds as you need, with no pressure to complete the SSP on any particular schedule, ensuring your healing stays on track.
Remote Delivery
We know many of our clients deal with chronic health conditions that can be debilitating and exhausting.
Going through the Safe and Sound Protocol independently—from home—allows you to take control of your own healing journey without the pressure of appointments that might feel overwhelming, embarrassing, or dysregulating.
It gives you the flexibility to pause on tough days for extra regulation and self-care, then resume when you're ready, so your healing journey always feels manageable.
Affordability
Nervous system regulation is crucial for good health, and it should be accessible to everyone.
We also recognize that those with chronic conditions might be on a tight budget, and paying for treatments can be a challenge. And with most providers charging thousands for multiple rounds of SSP, this puts the program out of reach for those who need it most.
That’s why we offer all the essential SSP elements at an affordable monthly price, so you can get the support you need without breaking the bank, and finally start feeling better.
We usually recommend a minimum of three months to complete one round of the SSP, but we’ll personalize this after your initial call.
Frustrated with Unexplained Symptoms and Quick Fixes?
You just want to feel good and handle daily life with ease, but instead, you’re stuck with symptoms that no doctor seems to understand.
All the treatments you’ve tried offer only short-term relief and band-aid solutions, never addressing the real root of the problem. This leaves you feeling stuck, especially when every day is already a challenge just to manage basic tasks.
At the SSP Wellness Center, we understand that many chronic issues are rooted in a dysregulated nervous system—something most therapists overlook. Our SSP Essentials Subscription offers a gentle approach to nervous system regulation - perfect for those who need to go slow and steady.
By using specially filtered music to gently stimulate your vagus nerve, the Safe and Sound Protocol resets your nervous system, helping you move from surviving to thriving. Our SSP Essentials Subscription gives you a manageable, self-paced pathway to healing and the support needed to move beyond quick fixes and find real, lasting relief.
Does This Sound Like You?
You feel constantly overstimulated and anxious
Whether it’s social interactions, sounds, smells, light, or the feel of your clothes, sensory stimulation feels overwhelming and too much.
You have moderate to high levels of dysregulation
Life feels unmanageable. Your workload is overwhelming, you’re snapping at your partner and kids, you just want to crawl into bed, and you always feel rundown and sick.
You feel burned out and exhausted
A week off from work doesn’t even come close to the rest you need. You never feel truly rested or refreshed.
It’s All Just too much
Every little task and interaction tips you into a state of overwhelm. Even the 'little' things feel too much to handle.
You’re screaming but no one is listening
You’ve had appointments with GPs, naturopaths, physical therapists, chiropractors, and tried every diet and supplement under the sun. At best, you’ve found temporary symptom relief; at worst, you’ve been told it’s all in your head.
You’re tired of hurting
Physically and emotionally, you are in pain. Chronic pain, unrelenting stress, childhood trauma, and digestive discomfort seem to be on a permanent loop in your life.
You feel highly sensitive
You find it difficult to regulate your emotions, are sensitive to foods, fragrances, and chemicals, and are easily triggered by everyday situations.
You’re a Worn-Out Parent/Caregiver
You understand your child's needs deeply and have support from medical professionals, schools, etc., but you and your child still feel stuck. Sensory sensitivities and anxiety affect daily activities, and other therapies aren’t providing the relief you need.
What Life Could Feel Like with a Regulated Nervous System
You “Own” the Day
Imagine waking up feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever comes your way. Instead of dragging yourself through tasks, you’re focused and energized. You move through your day with ease, enjoying meaningful connections, and have enough energy left to dive into hobbies and the things you love. You feel like you again—calm, clear, and in control.
You Rediscover Joy in the Little Things
Remember how it feels to enjoy the little things? Imagine strolling through a bustling market, not overwhelmed by the noise or crowds, just truly enjoying the experience. You sit down at your favorite restaurant, savoring the flavors, completely at ease.
Even simple things like the softness of your clothes or the warmth of a candle fill you with comfort. Social interactions feel light and enjoyable, and you can finally embrace those little sensory pleasures that make life so rich.
You Cherish Family Time
Now, imagine your home life: balanced, calm, and filled with connection. You and your child face the day with ease, sharing fun and silly moments, and tackling challenges together. When you need a break, it’s restorative for both of you. Your home becomes a place of stability and joy, where love, laughter, and peace are your every day.
You Can “Do the Things Everyone Else Can Do”
What if you could play with your kids, finally take that dream vacation, or crush a workout—without fear or exhaustion getting in the way? You feel strong, confident, and safe in your body, ready to take on new adventures. Nothing holds you back anymore. You’re free to connect, move, and enjoy life fully, without the pain or limitations that used to stop you.

Working with Emma and the SSP has been life-changing for me.
The resources helped me understand where my anxiety comes from and recognize the triggers that set it off.
The listening sessions have hugely minimized my anxiety and now I feel so much more in control. It also helped me reduce my food sensitivities - which is a huge bonus I never expected!

The SSP: So Much More Than Stress Relief
At the SSP Wellness Center, we recognize that a dysregulated nervous system means far more than mild anxiety, stress, or insomnia. It can manifest in a wide range of chronic conditions and baffling symptoms that other practitioners might overlook. If you’re struggling with any of the following—or have spent years battling medically unexplained symptoms—SSP could be the key to reclaiming your health.
AKA Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: A neurodevelopmental disorder that may include trouble focusing, staying still, or controlling impulses.
A neurodevelopmental disorder that affects how someone interacts, learns and communicates.
Lingering symptoms after a COVID-19 infection, like tiredness, brain fog, and body aches.
Intense irritation or anger triggered by certain sounds, like chewing or tapping.
Feeling down or overly worried, affecting your daily life and mood.
Ongoing emotional reactions and flashbacks from past traumatic events.
Hearing ringing or buzzing in your ears that doesn’t come from outside sounds.
Persistent pain that doesn’t go away and affects your ability to do daily activities.
Insomnia or other problems with sleeping well, like trouble falling asleep or staying asleep.
Long-term stress that leads to feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.
Difficulty handling sensory input, making everyday things like noises or lights overwhelming.
Ongoing health issues, like fibromyalgia or autoimmune disorders, that don't have a clear cause.
Problems like IBS, bloating, and gas that affect how your digestive system works.
Reactions to certain foods, causing discomfort or other symptoms.
Persistent symptoms from Lyme disease, such as joint pain and fatigue, that don't go away.
Challenges with talking or understanding language, affecting communication.
Constant, unexplained tiredness that doesn’t get better with rest.
Imbalances in your nervous system that affect stress response, emotions, and health.
How does the SSP Work to Heal Your Nervous System?
Human connection is essential to well-being, and your nervous system is constantly scanning your environment for cues of safety from other people—whether it's through someone's body language, facial expressions, or tone of voice.
However, past experiences, trauma, or the way you process information can make it harder for your brain and body to recognize these cues correctly. This can lead to misinterpreting interactions and feeling disconnected or unsafe, even when you're not in danger.
In this constant state of disconnection, we can experience nervous system dysregulation, leading to symptoms such as hypersensitivity to sensory stimuli, chronic health issues, digestive problems, anxiety, and much more.
SSP works by using specially filtered music to send gentle, soothing signals to your nervous system to reset these inappropriate reactions. These cues of safety help build a foundation for resilience, allowing you to return to a healthier baseline and creating a foundation for wellness.

Tune Into Your Best Self
Tune Into Your Best Self
SSP music is truly unique. It takes songs we all know and love and filters them using a patented algorithm to emphasize sound frequencies that mimic the human voice.
As you listen to the playlists, these carefully tuned frequencies send signals of safety to your nervous system by strengthening the muscles of the middle ear and stimulating the vagus nerve. This helps your body reset, allowing you to feel calm, connected, healthier, and more like your best self.
And the best part? It’s fun! There’s a playlist for every musical taste—pop hits for adults, Disney classics for kids, and ambient or classical music for those who prefer a more relaxing vibe.
Conditions and Contraindications for SSP Therapy
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) can be highly beneficial, but some conditions require special attention. Here’s what you need to know:
Active or uncontrolled seizures.
Unyte Recommendation: SSP is not suitable for clients with active or uncontrolled seizures. Clients with controlled seizure conditions have reported benefits from the SSP with slow and cautious delivery. If seizures are under control, discuss with your doctor or neurologist about the possibility of in-person SSP sessions. Remote SSP should only be used if your healthcare provider confirms it's safe. Stop SSP immediately if seizures commence during the program.
Extreme sensitivity to specific sounds or overall sound intensity.
Unyte Recommendation: Speak with a medical professional before starting SSP. Begin with speakers and keep the volume at the lowest comfortable level. Adjust volume and listening method as needed, and monitor closely with your practitioner for any discomfort.
Persistent ringing or noise in the ears.
Unyte Recommendations: SSP is not recommended for clients with active, significant tinnitus. For mild cases, or a history of tinnitus, consult with a medical doctor or audiologist before starting SSP. If approved, start with short listening sessions at a low volume. Consider using speakers instead of headphones and monitor symptoms carefully. Adjust based on feedback from your healthcare provider and choose an SSP practitioner experienced in working with tinnitus.
Chronic conditions and medical complexities that may or may not affect the nervous system or immune response.
Unyte Recommendation:
There is high potential for benefit from the SSP for clients with medical complexity, however we recommend consulting with your medical provider before starting SSP. Clients with these conditions are likely to have a more sensitive nervous system so should proceed with caution.
Conditions involving developmental trauma or significant mood or identity regulation challenges.
Unyte Recommendation: Speak with your psychiatrist, mental health or medical provider if you are considering SSP. Careful monitoring is needed due to potential sensitivity to the SSP’s effects. Please find a practitioner experienced in working with clients with modulation disorders.
Intentional self-harm or active thoughts of suicide.
Unyte Recommendations: SSP is not recommended for individuals that are actively self-harming or suicidal. For those with a history of self-harm, consult with a mental health professional to determine suitability. Find an SSP provider who is experienced in working with self-harming behaviors.
Conditions involving psychosis, recent psychiatric interventions or clients taking antipsychotic medication.
Unyte Recommendations: SSP should not be delivered to clients experiencing active psychosis. Clients with a history of psychosis, taking antipsychotic drugs, or recent psychiatric hospitalization should speak with their psychiatrist, mental health or medical provider if considering SSP. Careful monitoring is needed due to potential sensitivity to the SSP’s effects. Please find an SSP practitioner experienced in working with these conditions.
We recommend not starting the SSP when you have any significant life events ongoing or coming up—for example, moving house, starting a new job, starting a new relationship, starting at a new school, or when you’re in a particularly intense symptom flare up.
However, we recognize that life can be chaotic and that there's not always a perfect time to do SSP. If you're not sure whether you're currently in a good place in life to start SSP, please message us or schedule a consult prior to signing up.
For any of these conditions, it’s crucial to consult with us or a qualified healthcare provider before starting SSP therapy. They can help you decide on the best approach and ensure a safe and effective experience. Thanks to our unique "Microflow" approach to the SSP, our team at the SSP Wellness Center are often able to support clients with challenging cases who may have been told by other practitioners that they aren't able to do the SSP at all. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us to help assess your suitability for the program.

What About a Money Back Guarantee?
At the SSP Wellness Center, we’ve noticed that some practitioners offer money-back guarantees for their SSP services. While this might sound appealing, it doesn’t make sense for a service like SSP, and here’s why:
Of course, you are free to stop the program at any time, but it is crucial to understand what is happening in your body and support the process correctly.

SSP therapy requires time for your nervous system to reset and achieve a healthier state. The pace of the program depends on factors like your current dysregulation, how long you’ve been experiencing it, and your life circumstances. Rushing can be counterproductive and might make things worse, so a gradual approach is recommended. The program consists of 5 hours of listening, which can be spread out according to your needs. If you want to go faster, please read this article.
That’s perfectly okay. Our packages are designed precisely for this, allowing for flexibility and perfect pacing. Your monthly subscription means you never need to feel rushed to complete the program - not matter how long it may take
SSP therapy requires the guidance of a certified practitioner to ensure the program is suitable for you, to provide education and resources, and to support you throughout the process. A provider helps tailor the program to your needs and offers crucial ongoing support and co-regulation.
If you have complex medical conditions, we suggest scheduling a FREE introductory call. We’ll review your health history and help determine the best approach for you, which may include additional support or in-person sessions. Check for contraindications to SSP here.
Side effects are possible but usually minimal and short-lasting. SSP may cause some symptoms to temporarily worsen or bring up old traumas and emotions. Consistent contact with your provider, proper pacing, and understanding the reasons behind any side effects can help you manage them effectively. Each package includes support to navigate any challenges that arise.
Yes, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is highly effective for adults. While it was initially developed for children, SSP has been adapted to address a wide range of issues in adults, including stress, anxiety, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation. It’s a gentle and non-invasive way to help reset your nervous system, making it beneficial for adults dealing with chronic stress, emotional challenges, and other related conditions.
Absolutely. The SSP was originally designed with children in mind and has proven to be particularly helpful for those with sensory processing issues, autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges. It’s a safe and gentle approach that helps children feel calmer, more regulated, and better able to engage with the world around them.
Yes, SSP can be tailored for both parents and children. Having parents and children go through the program can be beneficial for strengthening the parent-child bond, improving co-regulation, and creating a calmer home environment. We offer discounted packages to support both you and your child.
Please note we will likely recommend staggering the program so that you are not completing it at the same time.
This varies from person to person. It largely depends on your level of dysregulation and the specific symptoms you're addressing. While many people experience lasting changes, more persistent symptoms might require additional rounds of the program to achieve deeper, long-term relief.
Your experience with SSP therapy at home will vary depending on whether you're engaging in self-guided sessions or working directly with a provider. You'll need a safe, quiet, and calm space where you can focus without interruptions. Using over-ear headphones, you'll log into the Unyte Safe and Sound app with your personal account, set the session time, and listen to the specially filtered music. You can pause and restart as needed,to accommodate any symptoms and sensations that arise.
For SSP therapy, you'll need over-ear headphones that can connect to your smartphone via a cable. It's important that these headphones are not noise-canceling. We can recommend some of our personal favorites to help you get the best experience. Learn more about the type of headphones you'll need for SSP music therapy.
