32. No Money Back Guarantee

At SSP Wellness Center, we understand that some practitioners offer money-back guarantees for their Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) services, but this approach does not align with the nature of SSP. Here's why:

Each individual’s nervous system is unique, which means responses to SSP vary significantly. Some clients may need to pace the program slowly, while others can progress more quickly. Your program is customized to your specific needs, accounting for your current conditions and how you respond as the protocol unfolds.

Experiencing discomfort or symptoms during SSP may indicate that the program is working as intended or that your nervous system requires a slower pace. It’s at these moments that having an experienced practitioner by your side is essential. They will guide you through adjustments and provide reassurance, ensuring the program continues safely and effectively.

Offering a refund partway through the process could leave you without the necessary support and potentially disrupt your progress. For this reason, we do not offer a money-back guarantee. Instead, we commit to seeing you through the entire SSP journey, providing the support you need to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

You are free to stop the program at any time, but it's important to understand your body’s signals and get the right guidance to navigate the process effectively.

33. Specific to Group Calls

Group calls are intended to provide information and support but are not a substitute for professional medical or therapeutic advice. Any information shared during group calls is designed to be educational and supportive, not diagnostic or prescriptive. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical guidance related to your condition.

By participating in group calls, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • What you share may be used in anonymized or edited form to help others in educational materials, such as our website content, emails, courses, or on social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram. Your identifying information will not be shared without your express permission.
  • You understand that any online environment including video calls is unpredictable, and we cannot control how your content may be interpreted or shared by others after sharing. We are not responsible for third-party reposting or usage of shared content.
  • You are of legal age in your country or jurisdiction to participate in group calls and discussions without the need for a guardian’s consent.
  • It is your personal responsibility to use the information and advice shared in ways that benefit you and align with your personal circumstances. You are free to use or disregard any advice based on what best supports your well-being.
  • Anything shared by the host or moderator of the call does not constitute medical or professional advice, and should be taken as a personal opinion only.

34. Specific to SSP Listening – Who Needs to Exercise Caution?

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) may not be suitable for everyone, and caution is advised for certain individuals. If any of the following conditions apply to you, please consult with your medical provider before starting SSP:

  • People with Seizures: Consult your medical doctor or neurologist. It may be necessary to complete SSP under the guidance of a medical professional in a live, one-on-one setting.
  • People with Ear Conditions (e.g., perforated or ruptured eardrums, stapedectomy, tympanostomy tubes): Consult your medical doctor or audiologist before beginning SSP to ensure it is safe for you.
  • People with Tinnitus: Consult with a medical doctor or audiologist regarding volume levels and safe listening practices. SSP may be used in lower volumes or through speakers, depending on your doctor’s advice.
  • People with Autoimmune, Neurological, or Chronic Conditions: It is advised that individuals with these conditions consult with a medical provider, as their nervous systems may be more reactive. Advanced clinical reasoning is often required in these cases to proceed safely.
  • People with Mental Health Conditions (e.g., bipolar disorder, dissociative disorders, developmental trauma): Speak with your psychiatrist or medical provider before beginning SSP. You may need their support during the delivery of the protocol.
  • People with Psychosis or on Antipsychotic Medication: Consult with your current psychiatrist or medical doctor to determine whether SSP is appropriate. A live, in-person session may be recommended for ongoing support.
  • People with Misophonia or Hyperacusis: Consult with a medical doctor regarding appropriate listening levels and the possibility of using speakers to start SSP.
  • People with Self-Harming Behaviors or Suicidal Thoughts: Consult with a healthcare professional before starting SSP. If SSP is approved, it is recommended that sessions take place one-on-one under the guidance of a medical professional.

SSP may also require extra caution for children experiencing these conditions. Parents and caregivers should consult with medical professionals to determine the best course of action and whether live sessions are required for closer monitoring.

35. Specific to SSP Subscriptions

  • Any changes to your subscription, such as cancellation or updates to billing information, should be made at least 10 days before the next billing cycle. Cancellations can be made through the billing portal or by contacting us via email.
  • You must be 18 years or older, or of legal age in your jurisdiction, to participate in one-on-one sessions or access the SSP services.
  • The SSP services provided, including the SSP Audio Therapy App by Unyte Health, are not substitutes for medical or psychological therapy. The program is not designed to diagnose or treat any conditions.
  • You acknowledge and assume full responsibility for any emotional, physical, or mental outcomes that result from participating in SSP. You are advised to consult healthcare professionals as needed and to engage with SSP at your own risk.
  • By participating in the program, you agree to waive all claims of liability against SSP Wellness Center and its affiliates, including team members and facilitators, for any damages related to the program.

36. Specific to One-to-One Sessions (Video, Phone, Text, and Chat Interactions)

  • Sessions should be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in fees or forfeiture of the session.
  • You must be 18 years or older, or of legal age in your jurisdiction, to participate in these sessions without guardian consent.
  • The advice and content provided during one-on-one sessions are not substitutes for medical or mental health advice or diagnoses. The content shared is intended to support and inform your personal wellness journey.
  • Participating in sessions may trigger strong emotions or discomfort. By engaging in one-on-one sessions, you accept the potential emotional and mental outcomes.
  • You understand that these sessions do not replace professional medical or mental health treatment.
  • You acknowledge full responsibility for your health and well-being, and agree to hold SSP Wellness Center and its affiliates harmless from any claims or legal actions related to your participation in these sessions.

37. Specific to Courses

  • You must be 18 years or older, or of legal age in your jurisdiction, to access and participate in the courses.
  • The courses provided are designed for educational and informational purposes, not as substitutes for medical or psychological treatment.
  • Participating in the courses may involve strong emotional responses, and you accept responsibility for managing these emotions during and after the course.
  • SSP Wellness Center cannot guarantee specific outcomes from the course and is not responsible for how participants apply the course material to their personal lives.
  • You agree to waive any claims of liability against SSP Wellness Center, its affiliates, and team members related to your participation in the courses.
